Marco Marsilio re-elected President of the ECR Group

During its constitutive meeting in Brussels, the ECR Group in the CoR has re-elected Marco Marsilio (Italy) as President. Władysław Ortyl (Poland) has been re-elected First Vice-President. The Vice-Presidency will be held by Juraj Droba (Slovakia), Anna Magyar (Hungary) and Dagmar Škodová Parmová (Czech Republic), with Ilpo Heltimoinen (Finland) as Treasurer. President Marco Marsilio commented: "The ECR Group in the CoR reaffirms today its strengths and values. We are the political group of realism and common sense, a political force that brings together local and regional authorities that listen to the real concerns of people. We are committed to a more prosperous, secure and decentralised Europe. With the new mandate of the CoR, we are ready to start our work with renewed enthusiasm to make the voice of conservative local and regional leaders heard in Europe".

The ECR Group in the European Committee of the Regions adopts its priorities for the 2025-2030 CoR mandate during its constitutive meeting in Brussels: A Safer Europe; A reformed Cohesion Policy; Competitiveness; A Just Transition; Food sovereignty and Right to remain.
