ECR Group hosts debate with PETI Committee Chair Bogdan Rzońca

The ECR Group in the CoR hosted today a debate with Bogdan Rzońca, Chair of the Committee on Petitions of the European Parliament. The debate offered the opportunity to discuss the work of the Committee that deals with petitions from European citizens and how local and regional representatives can bring local issues to the attention of the European Parliament and to European lawmakers.

ECR 1st Vice-President Ortyl hosts EU Industry Days with key stakeholders and European leaders

The 2025 edition of EU Industry Days, a flagship event promoted by the European Commission, has been held in Rzeszów, the capital of Poland's Podkarpackie Region, and hosted by ECR 1st Vice-President and Marshal of the Region, Władysław Ortyl. Key stakeholders and industry leaders have gathered to discuss competitiveness, resilience and the strategies to foster economic growth and innovation in the EU. Stéphane Séjourné, European Commission's Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, and Andrius Kubilius, Commissioner for Defence and Space, were among the high-level speakers who attended the event.

President Marsilio congratulates Nawrocki on outstanding Presidential election result

On behalf of the ECR Group in the CoR, President Marco Marsilio expresses congratulations to Karol Nawrocki for his victory in the Polish Presidential elections. Nawrocki's result is a significant achievement and a moment of pride for those who believe in a Europe grounded in democratic legitimacy, respect for cultural heritage and national sovereignty", said President Marsilio who underlined how it also reflects the will of the Polish people for common-sense based policies that will hopefully encourage other European nations to reaffirm their commitment to these values in future elections.

ECR members stress importance of merit-based accession process for candidate countries
