Living at the Hungarian-Serbian border ECR member Anna Magyar witnesses first-hand what she described as the "unbearable migration situation", which is continuing to "get worse", she declared.

The setting was the October CoR plenary featuring a political debate on the priorities of the Slovenian EU Presidency with Prime Minister Janez Janša attending virtually. 
Ms Magyar congratulated the Slovenian leader for his efforts during the last few months but pleaded him to "find a solution for the migration threats currently looming".

"Realistic treatment" should be order of the day with "help and support provided to the issuing and neighbouring countries" in their quest to manage the migration flows, observed the ECR member and Csongrád-Csanád county council member Anna Magyar.
