It is with great sadness that our Members learned the news of the sudden death of the President of the European Parliament, Mr David Sassoli. 

On behalf of the ECR Group in the European Committee of the Regions, the Group's President Mr Władysław Ortyl (President of Podkarpackie region in Poland) expresses his deepest condolences to President Sassoli's family in these extremely difficult moments following his passing.
