VP Droba brings together stakeholders to discuss his opinion on boosting infrastructure investments

ECR Vice-President Juraj Droba today held a consultation with over a hundred stakeholders to discuss his opinion on the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) post-2027. The CEF is a key EU funding programme, part of the next Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034, that aims to support the financing of strategic infrastructure in the areas of transport and energy.

Ciszkowski will lead CoR work on the Consumer Agenda

ECR Member Adam Ciszkowski has been appointed rapporteur for the opinion on the "Consumer Agenda" which includes an action plan for consumers in the Single Market.  The opinion will examine the protection of vulnerable consumers, and it will also tie in to the ongoing work on digital fairness.

Aurigemma and Karácsony on Europe's capacity to respond to emerging threats and crises

ECR members Antonello Aurigemma and Adam Karácsony today held an exchange of views on their opinions that are both part of the broader package on the Preparedness Union Strategy. Aurigemma, President of the Regional Council of Lazio, is rapporteur of the opinion "Preparing the EU for the next health crisis: a Medical Countermeasures Strategy", whilst Mr Karácsony is rapporteur of the opinion "EU Stockpiling strategy: boosting the EU's material preparedness for crisis".

ECBP President Pavel Branda chairs annual meeting of European Cross-Border Platform in Gorizia

ECR Member and President of the European Cross-Border Platform Pavel Branda chaired the annual meeting of the ECBP, which took place in in Gorizia and was hosted by President of the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia and ECR member Massimiliano Fedriga. The city of Gorizia is the first cross-border European Capital of Culture together with Nova Gorica. ECR member Roberto Ciambetti spoke at the panel on "Resilient borders", and the meeting included high-level participation, including the keynote address by Raffaele Fitto, Executive Vice-President for Cohesion and Reforms of the European Commission.

Ádám Karácsony speaks at high-level panel on demography in the European Parliament

ECR Member Ádám Karácsony, rapporteur of the opinion "Demographic change in Europe: a toolbox for action", spoke today at the Demographic Congress in the European Parliament - an event organised by ECR Group MEP Marlena Maląg and featuring, among others, EP's Vice-President Antonella Sberna and former Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło MEP.

The event, which took place in the Sicilian Parliament, saw the participation of high-level speakers, including European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Šuica and ECR MEP Ruggero Razza.
