"We are observing events unfolding beyond our eastern border with great concern. The actions of Russia and its leaders are criminal and are destroying, as we see it, existing international order. We strongly condemn the Russian attack on Ukraine, which is an unprecedented event in the history of the 21st century", said ECR CoR Group President Władysław Ortyl. 

Mr Ortyl is the Marshal of the Podkarpackie region in south-eastern Poland bordering Ukraine.

"Armed conflict in today's world is not only carried out via military operations, but also via attacks in cyberspace. In this regard, we call for the use of verified and confirmed information only on the events in Ukraine and at our borders. We want to emphasize our readiness to provide any help necessary", added Mr Ortyl.
