Europeans want a Europe that does less but better

"The outcome of the European elections sends us a clear message: millions of European citizens are calling for a Europe that does less things but better". This was the main message by the President of the Abruzzo Region, Marco Marsilio, speaking at the plenary session of the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels. "Voters want change, they want to turn a page and finally leave behind the eco-madness of the last legislature" President Marsilio added.

President Marsilio calls for support mechanism for automotive regions

President Marco Marsilio is advancing his work on a CoR opinion "A Just Transition for all EU regions" with a special focus on the automotive industry. "If the current ban on the production of new vehicles with combustion engines as from 2035 is not revised by the next European Commission, automotive regions in the EU will need a massive support mechanism to ease the transition, which threatens millions of jobs in the sector", stressed President Marsilio speaking at a High-Level Seminar on Monitoring the Just Transition of automotive regions in the EU.

Conservative regional leaders on defending European food sovereignty at ECR Study Days in Valladolid

With European elections only a month away, the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Group in the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) today held its Study Days event to discuss how conservative-led regions and cities can help change the future of Europe. At a conference in Valladolid (Spain), politicians, academics and experts had the opportunity to exchange views on how to defend European agriculture in view of increasing environmental demands. The other main focus of the event was the just and impartial application of the Rule of Law, a concept which has been recently politicised by EU elites who have selectively applied it against those daring to question the status quo.
